Things to do while in Barcelona
Moving around
Caution: Be very careful when walking around Barcelona. Pickpocketing is a real issue. The less you look like a rich tourist the better.
There’s no Uber but hauling taxis in the street is usually pretty easy. The closest thing to Uber is the FreeNow app.
What to eat and drink
Here are some of our favorite restaurants in Barcelona: Direkte Boqueria (reservation required), Pez Vela, Can Fisher and Barceloneta for paella and seafood. Bar Mut, Quimet i Quimet, Sartoria Panatieri.
And bars: Dry Martini, 14 de la Rosa, Oblicuo Hi-Fi Bar.
More recommendations on our IG account Superlost. Also Infatuation and Eater.
What to do
The week of the wedding is Barcelona’s biggest festival, La Mercè, with lots of cultural events and live music around the city.
Sagrada Familia and other Gaudí buildings are worth checking out if it’s your first time in Barcelona. Make sure you book your tickets in advance.
